Enrollment Information and Timeline
Thank you for your interest in Salida Montessori Charter School!
If you are interested in applying for the 2024-25 school year, please review the important dates below and submit an application for each child applying, found here, beginning February 1st, 2024, after 9:00 am. Only the applications received between February 1st and April 1st will be entered in the lottery for enrollment openings and wait list placement, all applications are time stamped.
If you are currently on the 2023-24 wait list: you must RE-APPLY during Open Enrollment 2024 to be eligible for 2024-25 openings or wait list.

Important Dates for 2024-25 School Year:
OPEN ENROLLMENT: February 1, 2024 - April 1, 2024* Please complete the appropriate application found here, after 9:00 am on February 1, 2024, and submit it by Monday, April 1, 2024 at 3 p.m., MST. You must fill out one application for EACH CHILD applying for entrance to SMCS.
(Please note: If you are interested in applying for Early Access to Kindergarten or 1st Grade, your Application and Application Portfolio must be received by February 3rd, 2024. Visit the Gifted and Talented page for detailed information and instructions. Children turning 5 before October 1 do not need to apply for Early Access for Kindergarten.)
OPEN HOUSE/ JOURNEY & DISCOVERY: (Toddler - 8th grade)
Joins us for an evening of experiencing the Montessori environment from the Toddler Room through the Secondary (7th& 8th grade) classrooms. We conclude the event with a teacher panel to answer all of your Montessori questions.
Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 5:00-6:15 pm
Location: begins at 1040 I St, concludes at 340 E 5th St
LOTTERY: April 3, 2024**
In the event that we have more applications than openings, a lottery will be held to determine placement. We will fill any open spaces and then we will create a new wait list, for 2024-25, based on the drawings from the lottery. The Lotterease system will notify families about lottery results by email or text by end of day Wednesday, April 3rd.

ENROLLMENT PACKET: Once admitted, due April 18, 2024
You will be able to complete the Enrollment Packet, available after April 3rd, in your Lotterease/ Enrollease account by April 18, 2024, or with two weeks of admittance.
*Any applications submitted after Monday, April 1, 2024 at 3:00pm MST will be placed on the wait list in the order received.
