The SMCS Annual Plant Sale, in conjunction with the Touch-a-Truck event, is today! Mark your calendar and come on down to get some wonderful plant starts while the kids check out some big trucks!  This joint event is at Marvin Park, West Parking Lot (by the baseball fields).

Health Appraisal, Immunization Form, & Insurance Card Copy Due

Health Appraisal, Immunization Forms, & Copy of Insurance Card Due by August 14th, 2019. Please download the Health Appraisal Form and take it to the doctor, if your child is due for a visit. The top portion must be filled out by a parent and returned, even if your child is not due for a physical. Also, you will need to submit a copy of your child’s Immunization Records or an Exemption Form and a copy of their Insurance Card.

You will not be permitted to attend school until these forms are received. If you need to schedule your appointment later, due to insurance timing, please notify the office of your appointment date.

Re-Enrollment Forms for ALL returning students are due buy 3:00 pm, MST today! As a school of choice, you must choose SMCS and Re-Enroll your child every year. All New Student Applications Due Today!

All new families interested in applying for the 2019-20 school year, make sure that we have received your applications by 3:00 pm today!  Every child applying must have an application turned in.  It is free to apply and applications can be found here.  All applications received between February 1st and April 3rd will be included in our lottery on April 10th.

Middle Ages Cultural Fair (E2)

Please join the E2 students as they display all of their learned stories about the Middle Ages.  This is a fantastic event of theater, discussion, good food, and learning on display.  All are welcome.  (Please note, this is a date and time change from the calendar.)

Ancient Cultural Fair 2019 officially opens at 5:00! The first 30 minutes will be a “gallery walk-through” with boards on display for parents and friends to check out. This will be a whisper time to allow students to share their boards. At the conclusion of the gallery time, student groups will deliver a short presentation to the audience. Finally, we will feast!

Holiday Break- No School

Holiday Tea

Please join us for this whole school event!  The students from each class will perform and then we will break for tea and cookies before everyone leaves for the Winter Holiday. 

The Holiday Break begins at the conclusion of the Holiday Tea. Enjoy your time off. Wishing you all a fabulous Holiday Season!! Looking forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Toddlers, 3 and 4 year-olds should be picked up from school between 10:30-10:40 am and delivered to the Steamplant by 10:50 am.

K-8 students will be bused to the Steamplant with their belongings.

Performance scheduled to begin at 11:00 am and the event should conclude at 12:30pm.

Cultural Fair (E1)

Please join the E1 students for a wonderful evening of Cultural enlightenment.  The kids have spent the last month studying a country, with their partner, and are now ready to present their learning.  The students dress up in traditional clothing from their country and provide food found in the region.  It's a fabulous event that you do not want to miss!

Mystery History! (E2)

One of our favorite events of the year!  The kids work all month, largely at home, on their chosen biographies.  Today is the day that they get to dress up as their chosen historical figure and present their facts, so everyone can guess who they are.  Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.  (E1 and E2 will be staggered so parents with students in both classrooms can attend each event.)
